Working Theory

Wet alarm valve usually has the same water pressure at two sides of the disc (water goes through the water pressure balance hole in the guide pipe to maintain the water pressure balance between the both sides of the disc).Due to the weight of the disc and the disc before and different total pressures between two sides of the disc, the disc keeps closed (the total pressure above the disc is greater than the total pressure below the valve core).When fire burst, sprinkler starts spraying water. The water pressure on the alarm valve drops as the water pressure in front of the valve disc is larger than that behind the valve disc. Therefore, the valve disc opens to supply water to the riser and pipe network. At the same time, water enters the delay device, pressure switch, hydraulic alarm bell and other facilities along the annular groove of the alarm valve to send a fire signal and start the fire pump.
