Description
Principles
The measurement principle of electromagnetic flowmeter is based on Faraday's electromagnetic induction law, and the conductor moves in the magnetic field to produce induced voltage. The electromagnetic flowmeter generates a constant alternating magnetic field through switching DC I with alternating polarity, and the magnetic field
direction is perpendicular to the medium flow direction.When measuring the flow rate, the medium flows through the magnetic field, and the flowing medium is equivalent to a moving conductor, inducing an electromotive force Ue proportional to the flow rate of the medium, as shown in Figure.
The electromagnetic flowmeter detects the induced electromotive force through two measuring electrodes and transmits it to the converter for processing. Based on the cross- sectional area A of the measuring pipeline, the volume flow Q of the fluid can be calculated.
