Description
Covered O-ring introduction
The UPC wrap seal organically combines the elasticity and sealing performance of rubber with the chemical resistance of PTFE. It is composed of a silicone or fluorine rubber inner core and a relatively thin FEP or PFA outer covering. Universal Seal has excellent sealing performance. Rubber O-rings are easy to wear, have poor chemical resistance and gas permeability resistance, and pure PTFE O-rings have high hardness and can resist compression but have poor elasticity. Covered FEP/PFA O-rings have good swelling resistance and chemical stability (unless attacked by alkali metals, fluorine and some halides at high temperatures) and have good elasticity near the rubber O-rings, FEP The friction coefficient of /PFA is very small (only 0.1~0.2), and it has excellent resistance to gas permeation. These properties make U-PFA seals truly applicable in harsh environments.

FKM (Fluorocarbon) O-ring
For general type FKM the service temperature is better limited to approximately from -26℃to 232℃ in static applications, though
the service temperature can arrive to 275 C at short time In dynamic applications, it is suitable between -15℃ and 200℃.
Because FKM has excellent resistance of high temperature, oil, solvent, flame, chemicals and weathering, it is usually applied in
automotive, chemical processing, aerospace and many other industries..

For NBR the service temperature can be designed from -55 C to 100 C or up to 130 C depending on differenacrylonitrile content and
formula. NBR compounds have excellent resistance to abrasion, non-polar oils and solvent, water and permeation (higher
acrylonitrile content will be better). NBR also can be used in conditions of dilute acids, alkalis and salt solution at low
temperatures.
