Greenconn offers a wide range of standard and fully customized male and female headers in single, double and multiple rows to suit different forms, pitches, heights and mounting orientations. Pin headers (male) and female headers (socket) are usually used as a set to directly connect the board to board. A male header consists of one or more rows of metal pins inserted into a plastic base. Due to their simplicity, male pin headers are the most cost-effective solution. Female headers are the sockets that male headers fit into. These connectors complete the design by allowing the PCBs to be easily connected and replaced should either of the headers become damaged.
