Excavator CHAIN CUTTERS
Excavator CHAIN CUTTERS FOR USE ON EXCAVATORS FROM 1.5 TO 70 TONS AND THEY ARE IDEAL trench profile.CUTTING ROCK WITH A UNIAXIAL COMPRESSIVE STRENGTH UP TO 140MPa.
Excavator CHAIN CUTTERS for the excavation of deep narrow trenches with the Another application is mining of medium hard minerals with compressive strength from 15 to 60 MPa, where drill and blast is not possible.
Excavator CHAIN CUTTERS reduce wear and tear on the excavator swing gear. In addition, they give a 40% energy saving for equivalent production rates compared to conventional rotary drum cutters without the central chain.
Chose from a range of cutting chain widths, each fitted with wear resistant picks. When starting the trench, the Excavator CHAIN CUTTERS is supported while sumping down to the desired cutting depth. When the trencher has reached the required depth, the excavator is driven backwards or the trencher is pulled forward with the excavator arm. The housing has a spoil discharger to deposit spoil to the side of the trench.
Chain cutters have a chain fitted with tungsten carbide tipped picks running between two cutter drums. This allows trenches to be excavated as wide as necessary and as narrow as possible; without costly overcutting which can result from having to swing traditional drum cutters sideways during operation. At the same time, chain cutters are powerful enough to penetrate solid rock.The process for completion of the project was to excavate a length of trench, lay the pipework, then backfill and compact before repeating the process for the next section of trench.
