PRECAUTIONS
1.It is strictly forbidden to measure a moving object with the outside micrometer to avoid scratching the measuring surface or imprecise measurement.
2.Before use, wipe the measuring surface carefully, and check or adjust the zero to a correct position. The range of measurement should be controlled within the stroke of the measuring rod.
3.Method for checking the zero correctness and adjusting: rotate the microdrum to the zero, when the pointer should be rotated perpendicularly to the center line of the movable gauge button and coincided with the zero scale line of the dial plate; If it fails to coincide with the zero scale line, rotate the zeroing mechanism on the dial shell with a screwdriver to rotate the dial plated for coinciding. The rotation range of the dial plate zero scale line is with ±10 divisions of the vertical direction of the center line of the movable gauge button, beyond which the trial stability of is deemed as ultra-poor.
Adjusting method for comparative measurement: rotate the microdrum to the nominal dimension of measured parts, tighten the locking device, put the gauge block group (equal to the nominal dimension) between two measuring surfaces, and press the button for a few times. When the pointer is stable, rotate the zeroing mechanism. The measurement can be started when the dial plate zero scale line coincides with the pointer and keeps stable for a while. Always check the correctness of the zero during measurement, and readjust it in time in case of deviation.
4.On condition that the micrometer moves poorly with large axial or radial clearance, unscrew the "micrometric screw" (microdrum), use a "wrench" (product accessory) to cover the "adjusting nut" (blackened part) and rotate it back and forth to adjust the clearance of the micrometer screw pair to eliminate or reduce the axial and radial clearance.
5.Try to protect the micrometer from violent vibration, collision, corrosion and moisture.
6.Operation in special environment (high temperature, low temperature and high pressure) may lead to the inaccuracy of
measurement.
7.For long-term preservation, please put the micrometer into the product box after rust prevention treatment.
