[Description]Kaolin hemostatic Bandage consists of a sterile, soft, white, 3 in x 4 yds 、(7.6 cm x 3.7 m), X-ray detectable,
Z-folded hemostatic dressing and is packaged for aseptic removal. This product contains kaolin.
[Indications]
Through compression and the role of kaolin,the Kaolin hemostatic Bandage is mainly used for emergency dressing of
trauma bleeding, which can meet the needs of different wound conditions and different parts, and can also be used as an auxiliary fixation tool for fracture.
[Contraindications]
The safety and effectiveness of the KAOLIN Hemostatic Dressing for use in neurological, ophthalmic, spinal,
GI, orthopedic (bone repair), all anastomoses (including vascular) and femoral artery puncture sites have not been established.
[Warnings]
* Product is not absorbable and must be removed from wound prior to wound closure.
* The KAOLIN Hemostatic Dressing is not intended as a substitute for meticulous surgical technique, the use of sterile
procedures, and the proper application of ligatures or other conventional procedures to control bleeding.
* The KAOLIN Hemostatic Dressing must not remain in the wound for longer than 24 hours.
* Avoid contact with eyes.
[Precautions]
* The KAOLIN Hemostatic Dressing must be applied to the actual source of the bleeding. The dressing cannot influence
hemostasis by being placed in the proximity of the bleed.
* If bleeding persists extra product should be applied to the wound.
[Instructions for Use]
1.Verify the expiration date on the package labels prior to using the product. Remove hemostatic bandage from packaging.
2. Apply the Kaolin hemostatic bandage on the bleeding wound, and press the bleeding source with your hand.
3.Continue to press it on wound for 3 minutes until the bleeding is controlled.
4. The hemostatic bandage may be left in place for up to 24 hours. To remove, gently remove the bandage and thoroughly rinse the wound to remove the kaolin that may be released from the bandage.
