Spherical button : good wearing resistance, suited to hard ground, abrasive to very abrasive.
Parabolic button : fast penetration,suited to medium to hard rock,suitable for the mildly abrasive ground.
Conical button : fast penetration, suited for smaller diameter bits, suited for all non-abrasive ground types.
Ballistic button : fast penetration,suited to soft rock, suitable for non abrasive ground
