Non-Magnetic Drill Collar (NMDC) is specialized tools extensively employed in the oil and gas industry to facilitate efficient drilling operations while minimizing magnetic interference. Orchid Energy can provide slick/spiral/flex/pony types of non-magnetic drill collar.
Constructed from low or non-magnetic alloys, such as stainless steel or non-magnetic steel composites, NMDCs offer a crucial solution to eliminate magnetic fields’ disruptive effects during drilling activities.

Types of Drill Collar Orchid Energy Supplies:
Orchid Energy could offer a series type of borehole drill collars as shown in the picture above including:
1. CONVENTIONAL DRILL COLLAR: slick type and spiral type.
2. NON-MAGNETIC DRILL COLLAR: slick type, spiral type and flex type.
Spiral Drill Collar (Standard and Non-magnetic Type)
The surface of drill collars (including NMDC) can be processed as spiral grooving to avoid different pressure sticking of drilling fluid in the hole. Followings are some key points about spiral drill collars.
1. Stress relief groove & Bore back box
Stress relief grooves improve bending strength of pin and box connections and, therefore, durability. Stress relief grooves for box and pin are defined by Apl. Bore back box is nothing but gradual reduction of diameter by gradually increasing internal material cross sectional area at critical section. This will ultimately reduce drastically stress concentration during Static / Dynamic loading and prevents box connections from failure.
2. Hardbanding
We could provide hardbanding material ARNCO 100XT, ARNCO 300XT, TCS8000. Here's the recommended hardbanding location:
①Drill collars with slip and elevator recesses
·4"long wear pad above elevator recess
·1 "long wear pad above slip recess.
·1 0"long wear pad under slip recess
②Drill collars with slip recess
·10"long wear pad under slip recess
·4"long wear pad above slip recess
③Drill collars without slip and elevator recesses
·10"long wear pad at 30"from pin shoulder.

Are you a factory manufacturer?
Yes, we are a factory manufacturer with dual production capacity and quality assurance. We have our own technical R&D engineers and production workshops, providing customers with high-quality and affordable tools and equipment related to the petroleum industry.
What's your process for handling my inquiry?
First we discuss order details, production details by email or TM. Then we issue you an PI for your confirmation. You will be requested to do pr-epaid full payment or deposit before we go into production. After we get the deposit, we start to process the order. We usually need 7-15days if we don’t have the items in stock. Before production has been finished, we will contact you for shipment details, and the balance payment. After payment has been settled, we start to prepare the shipment for you.
How can I pay for the order?
After you confirm our PI, we will request you to pay. T/T, L/C, D/P, Western Union are the most usual ways we are using. We could discuss other payment method convenient for you.
How about your after-sales service?
When you need after-sales service, please contact our sales manager and make it clear, our after-sales support team will involved
