A studless anchor chain is a type of chain used in maritime applications for anchoring shipsor offshore structures. lt is designed to provide reliable and secure mooring capabilities invarious marineenvironments.Unlike traditional stud-link anchor chains, which have protruding studs on their links foradded strength and stability, studless anchor chains have smooth, cylindrical links withoutany studs.
Anchor chains are categorized into two types: non-geared anchor chains and gearedanchor chains. The grades of each type are determined by the applicable internationalstandards. The following are the grades and corresponding tensile strengths for each type:
