Antimony trioxide.
(chemical formula: Sb2O3) is an inorganic compound. Natural products called antimony hua, commonly known as
antimony white, white crystalline powder. It turns yellow when heated and white when cooled. No smell. Melting point is 655 ºC.The boiling point of 1550 ºC. When heated to 400ºC in high vacuum, it can sublimate. Soluble in sodium hydroxide solution, hot tartaric acid solution, hydrogen tartarate solution and sodium sulfide solution, slightly soluble in water 370 ± 37 g/L, dilute nitric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. Half lethal dose (rats, via mouth) >20G/kG. Cancer risk.
Applications
1. Used as white pigment, white glass, enamel, medicine, cement, filler, mordant and fire retardant coating, etc
2. As a flame retardant widely used in plastics, rubber, textile, chemical fiber, pigment, paint, electronics and other
industries, but also as a catalyst and production raw materials in the chemical industry
3. As a high purity reagent, mordant and anti - light agent, also used in the preparation of pigments and antimony potassium tartrate
4. Used as flame retardant for various resins, synthetic rubber, canvas, paper, paint, etc.,
