Description:

Strong mesh outer sleeve encases a poly sock skin 

filled with highly absorbent polypropylene. Filler 

won't shed and booms will not sink when saturated 

with oil. Sturdy hardware with nylon rope ensure 

durability and easy retrieval. Booms can be linked 

together. They clip together with carbon steel 

connector hardware.

 

Usage:

Use on water when you have oil to contain or soak 

up. Absorbs hydrocarbons only. Repels water. Floats 

on water. Absorbs all hydrocarbons such as oil, 

gasoline, fuel oil, diesel and lubricating oils.

 

Color

White. Including the coverstock where used. The only 

exception to this is trackmat. Which has a heavy-duty 

black coverstock over a white inner.

Comments

All oil-only absorbent are hydrophbic. This means that 

they repel water and water-based fluids. They are 

therefore capable of remaining on the water’s surface 

for long periods of time. Where they will only absorb 

any oil that’s present. Point to remember -many cutting 

fluids are water based; consequently oil-only absorbents 

will not recover these. Use maintenance instead.

MeiDa Oil Absorbent Booms can be fastened where you require them with hooks, rings and ropes. 

MeiDa Oil Absorbent Booms are made from a special patented hydrophobic fiber and highly UV 

resistant materials. They quickly absorb hydrocarbons such as crude oil,motor oil, diesel oil and 

gasoline while continuing to float indefinitely. Absorbent booms are encased in netting and include 

a rope, snap-hook and ring for connecting these 10 ft. booms together. The MeiDa Oil Absorbent Bilge

and Sump Boom absorbs up to 2 qt. of oil off the surface of the water in the boat bilge or sump tank. 

This absorbent boom is 12 in. in length with rope loop for attaching.
