Products Description
TYCO backer board is made of XPS foam board(CFC&HCFC free, blue closed cell core) in core and coated with fiberglass mesh and polymer cement mortar on both sides. It makes the backer board ideal base for setting tiles using the thin bed process. The XPS foam board in core is 100% waterproof and offers expectional resistance to water vapor. As proof, these panels meet the stringent standards of ASTM/ANSI testing for waterproofing and are suitable as part of a waterproof installation when seams and fastener heads are properly treated.
