The sweet almond oil is obtained through the fruit of the almond tree (Prunus dulcis), the family Rosaceae, which originated in the regions of Central Asia, where it is cultivated for thousands of years.

Of note is the variety of sweet almonds, which presents the greatest benefits to the body without any toxicity.

Almonds are rich in beneficial health and beauty fats. They are a good source of protein, minerals and vitamins A, B and E. Each 100 gr. common almond supplying 570 kcal, which becomes an important food for cold days and situations of high energy demand. Besides the consumption of almonds contains vitamins (mainly vitamin B): thiamine, riboflavin and niacin. Minerals: zinc, iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorous and potassium; beneficial proteins and fatty acids.

It is a mild oil with a pale color that preserves the characteristic aroma and flavor of the almond. It is used as massage oil and as a carrier in essential oils for aromatherapy. It can be used in any cosmetic or pharmaceutical oil as an active principle in the oily phase, without any proportion limit. Almond oil is very popular, thanks to the rich concentration of essential fatty acids (oleic and linoleic). Sweet almond oil also softens and stimulates dry and irritated skin. Due to its mild nature, it is also good for the gastric system. Taken in small quantities, it forms a protective layer on the stomach walls.
