Description

Brief Introduction:
Yuhong self-adhesive waterproof membrane adopts high-density polyethylene (HDPE) as the main waterproof layer, which is composed of self-adhesive layer, protective layer (for environmental change), and isolated layer. The self-adhesive layer and protective layer have self-healing function. This waterproof membrane reserves a 70 mm wide self-adhesive overlap edge on the long side. After its reaction with liquid state concrete mortar, a seamless combination between the waterproof layer and concrete structure is achieved, which improves the reliability of the waterproof system. Yuhong HDPE waterproof membrane has found a wide scope of applications, and is widely applied in underground projects.

Features of HDPE Self-adhesive Waterproof Membrane:
1. New wet bonding technique: after moisture curing reaction between cement slurry and high polymer, the membrane and the structural layer are firmly bonded, improving the reliability of the waterproof layer.
2. The waterproof membrane is not bonded with the substrate, so the sedimentation and deformation of the substrate will not affect the waterproof performance.
3. Excellent shock resistance and puncture resistance: can withstand the working load and the attack of the reinforcement cage, eliminating the need for special protections.
4. Strong self-healing function: unique self-healing capacity for slight construction damage.
5. Outstanding chemical resistance: good resistibility towards the alkali water from the concrete, home scrap has no effect on it.
6. Wet construction, remove the need for leveling layer, the construction is not limited by the condition of weather.
7. Minimal surface treatment: doesn’t need oil or heat to dry the wet substrate, with no volatile substance.

8. Have no need for cement mortar protective course.
9. Cold construction, need no cementing agent, safe and environment-friendly.

Construction Process:
The construction processes of plane surface, vertical surface, tunnel vault are as follows:

Construction Hints:
1. This self-adhesive waterproof membrane should be laid when the ambient temperature is over -4℃, otherwise, the lap joint of the membrane will be unstable, thereby affecting waterproof performance.
2. The membrane can be directly paved on not fully cured concrete or on wet base surface with no stagnant water, but the surface should be smooth and hard.
3. The long side of the membrane should adopt self-adhesive overlap joint (70mm wide), and its short side should be joined through 80mm wide sticking tape.
4. During vertical surface construction, mechanical fastening should be carried out every 400-600mm in the place where self-adhesive edge is 10-20mm away from the edge of membrane.
5. The reinforcing steel bar can be directly installed on the membrane, requiring no protection. After the waterproof membrane is installed, the concrete depositing should be finished within 40 days.
6. The operating staff must be trained before go on duty.
7. The person wearing spiked shoes is forbidden to enter the construction site.
8. No smoking on construction sites.

Package, Transportation and Preservation:
1. The waterproof membrane is curled with hard core, packed by carton. It can not be put in more than 5 levels if packed by cartons.

2. During transport and storage, pay attention to the package, store the membrane in a dry, ventilative, level place, prevent it from contacting acid, alkali, oil and organic solvent. Storage temperature should not exceed 45℃.

3. The membrane should be prevented from the tilt or transverse pressure during transport. Affix felt cloth if necessary.
4. Under normal condition, the storage life is 1 year.
