Introduction to Linear Motor:
(1) This is the newly developed Linear Motor vibrating in direction Z with a very long life time of 1 million cycles at the test mode 2s On 1s Off as one cycle.
(2) This Linear Motor also have a very strong acceleration/ vibration force at its peak acceleration value around 1.7G, much stronger than other normal brushed ERM type coin motors at 0.6-1.2G usually.
(3) This Linear Motor is specially for high-end and high reliable electronic consumer products.
(4)  When compared to standard brushed ERM vibration motors, LRA’s are higher in price and must be used with external driver IC.
Unlike conventional brushed DC vibration motors, linear resonant actuators must be driven by an AC signal at the devices resonant frequency. A number of companies make IC drivers for linear vibration motors that supply the correct drive signals and contain a library of haptic effects you can choose from. TI is one such company that makes LRA drivers IC’s. TI makes and evaluation board that incorporates the TI DRV2605L haptic driver IC. See below link for info:

5-9 diameter coin type brushless vibration motors.These BLDC Motors have much longer lifetime than the normal brush type motors. At the test mode of 0.5s On 0.5s Off as one cycle, the total lifetime can be 1 million cycles.
