Photoperiod control in aquaculture has shown many benefits for aquaculture producers including salmon,tilapia growers.
The modification of the photoperiod by man in poultry, agriculture and livestock has a long date. A long day can have between 12 to 18 hours of sunlight and the rest of darkness. A short day has between 8 and 16 hours of sunlight.This variability of the natural photoperiod depends on the time of year and the geo-location of the aquaculture farm.The modification of these "natural" conditions through the use of lights placed on aquaculture production units (tanks or ponds) has been beneficial in several aspects of production.
The benefits of photoperiod in aquaculture
There have been positive effects, among others, on the production of eggs of various aquaculture species such as salmon, bass, trout, corvina, crab and frog tone at different times than their natural production.Researchers Dr. Amal Kumar Biswas and Dr. Toshio Takeuchi studied the effect of photoperiod on feed intake and the growth rate of tilapia fingerlings of 3 to 5 grams average weight.Their study was published by the journal Fisheries Science in the year 2003. The summary of their study can be consulted here. This study is still widely quoted by researchers and producers around the world.
The findings of the study
The first conclusion is that using a 6LD cycle photoperiod the tilapia fry had a higher growth rate than the other photoperiod cycles.The second, using the ad libitum technique, showed that both feed intake and feed efficiency were significantly higher (P <0.05) and lower adiposity (P <0.05).And finally they conclude that this photoperiod (6LD) cycle caused an improvement in the growth of the fry attributable to the stimulation of the food intake.The most innovative, cost-effective and of greatest impact in the production variables is the use of submerged LED lights. In white for the first stages and green for later stages.

You can pay by T/T & Western Union in advance. Authority for payment must be given at the time of order. If there is a problem taking payment for all or part of your order we may contact you by email or by phone.
Q: What is the lead time after placing the order?
Usually, lead time for common orders is 7 working days while 10-12 working days for large amounts of goods. However, it would depend on our production line schedule and the complication of the items.
Q: What is the delivery and shipping?
Delivery will be made to the address specified when you complete the order. Usually, we send the shipments in EXW term. However, the terms of FOB is acceptable which depends on the preference of clients. We use Express (DHL, UPS, FedEx), Air Transportation and Sea Transportation to deliver our goods. Customers can choose alternative delivery methods.
Q: What is the replacement policy / guarantee?
We have a minimum 2 years replacement warranty for all products. For the majority of our LEDs the warranty is 3 years.The rest 3 years, only the cost of parts needed be paid. If you have a fault within the warranty period, please return the faulty item to us including a copy of your order/receipt/commercial invoice or at the least quoting your name and order number and we will send a replacement free of charge to you. In this case you have to pay to send the faulty item to us; we pay our postage costs to send the replacement. A more easier way is that you can provide evidence to show the faulty item, such as a series of photos with our item number, unabridged video clip, etc.
