50W Portable DMFC (Direct Methanol Fuel Cell) Battery Pack for Military Use

Methanol is oxidized to form carbon dioxide with action of anode catalyst, and electrons and protons are released.  The protons are transferred to the cathode through electrolyte membrane, while the electrons working through the external circuit are transferred to the cathode region. The electrochemical reduction reaction occurs with protons and oxygen reaching the cathode catalytic layer under the action of the cathode electrocatalyst to produce water. Under standard conditions, the specific energy of methanol fuel is 600Wh/kg.
