Answer:If I am understanding your question correctly, you are mainly asking the difference between a "211" tip and a "411" tip, correct? The first digit of these 3 number sequences (for a 211, the number "2", for a 411 the number would be "4", for a 511 the number would be "5" and so on...) refers to fan width and is one-half the size of the working fan width, so if you double the first number it will tell you in inches what the tip's approximate fan spray width will be if you were to hold the spray gun about one foot from the surface to be sprayed. On a 211 tip (double the "2") which gives you an approx fan width of 4 inches. A 411 tip would be about 8 inches, a 511 would be about 10 inches, and so on... The last two digits (in the above examples would be "11") is the orifice opening measurements in thousandths of an inch. So in all of the above examples the number is "11" which would mean that they all have an orifice opening of 11 thousandths of an inch (0.011") hence the number "11" (211, 411, 511 etc...) Just for practice, a 311 would give a fan spray of about 6 inches with 11 thousandths spray tip opening. Now try a 619 tip (12 inch fan with a 0.019" opening).
