To create the Peony Petals as illustrated,the use of petal paste/gum paste is recommended.

These cutters can also be used to create a variety of cut out designs and fantasy flowers using a range of edible and non-edible materials.

INSTRUCTIONS Wired Flowers

1.Mould a bud shape and attach to the end of a hooked 26g wire.

2.Roll out the paste and cut out three flower shapes using just one size of cutter.

3.Using a sugarcraft knife,make a number of tiny cuts around the edge of the petals.

4.Place a bulbulous cone modelling tool or cocktail stick on the edge of the petal and roll backwards and forwards to frill and shape.

5.Thread each layer in turn onto the wire securing with water/gum glue and squeezing firmly into place.

6.Add a calyx and colour as required.

INSTRUCTIONS

Unwired Flowers

1.Cut out three flower shapes using one size of cutter.

2.Frill and shape the petals

3.Complete the flower by joining the three layers of petals together using water/gum glue.

NOTE:Tools used with food products should be kept separate from those used with non-food materials e.g.craft clay.
