Gypsum Board Production Line: Efficient Heat Recovery and Energy Saving Solutions
The completely cooled air discharged from the drying chamber can be reintroduced into the plant's hot air furnace, achieving a high heat utilization rate. With heat recovery in the heating system, a portion of the high-temperature flue gas expelled from the chimney is recycled as a supplementary heat source for gypsum powder production and the hot air furnace. Additionally, it effectively addresses the dust particles in the high-temperature flue gas. The waste heat from gypsum board drying, in the form of steam, is reused in the heat exchanger of the hot air furnace, elevating the initial temperature of the air intake. These measures enable the efficient utilization of high-temperature flue gas waste heat and the recycling of gypsum board drying steam, reducing overall energy consumption in the production process. This achieves a cascading utilization of heat energy, improving heat utilization efficiency, significantly lowering production costs, and reducing environmental pollution from flue gas emissions. The gypsum board production line successfully realizes energy-saving and emission reduction.


Optimized Dryer Design: High Efficiency and Energy Reduction
The insulation performance and airtightness of the dryer are crucial. Our insulation layer has a thickness of 160mm, and the door frame is equipped with high-temperature resistant sealing strips to prevent temperature loss.
The ideal state for the dryer is to have gypsum boards tightly stacked together, avoiding overburning at the edges. Our latest design incorporates an edge cooling system that elevates the temperature to 250-280°C. Typically, the edges are glued first, while the core remains unglued. The temperature of the hot air is maintained below 200°C, around 180°C, as higher temperatures can lead to edge overburning, resulting in a decrease in edge strength of the gypsum boards.
The presence of the edge cooling system allows the inlet air temperature of the dryer to reach 250-280°C. With the same air volume, higher temperatures lead to increased production capacity. The existence of edge cooling helps to reduce energy consumption in the gypsum board production line, making it a special design feature.


Optimized Mixer Design: Addressing Uneven Mixing and Clumping Issues
The mixer is one of the most critical equipment in the gypsum board production line, but it has long been plagued by the following issues:
1) Uneven mixing of dry and wet materials, leading to clumping inside the mixer chamber and damaging the facing paper.
2) Rapid wear of the stirring device, impacting usability and increasing costs.
3) Non-uniform discharge causing significant density deviations and unstable product quality.
To overcome these challenges, we have continuously improved various aspects of the machine and made the following modifications: We have changed the method of adding dry and wet materials, introducing multiple centrifugal mixing rollers to reduce the residence time of the gypsum slurry inside the mixer, preventing excessive mixing that could compromise gypsum performance and cause slurry clumping. We have also redesigned the discharge system to an inclined surface to prevent clumping and ensure smooth machine operation, eliminating any risks of damaging the facing paper. The addition of an eccentric contraction and rotational distribution of the slurry discharge volume promotes uniform discharge of the gypsum slurry, maintaining consistent density and ensuring continuous and stable production operation.


Lightweight Gypsum Board: Essential Material and Key Technologies to Meet Stringent Requirements
With increasing demands for reduced weight in gypsum boards, lightweight gypsum boards have gained significant popularity. While maintaining strength, lightweight gypsum boards not only lighten the weight of buildings and alleviate construction burdens but also save transportation costs and reduce labor intensity, making them widely used in high-rise constructions.
Foaming agents play a critical role in paper-faced gypsum boards, directly affecting their quality and weight. Uniformly distributed pores within the gypsum board core reduce the formation of micro-cracks and lower water absorption rates. Modified starch, as a binder, is compatible with foaming agents, reducing the aggregation of surface bubbles in the slurry and promoting adhesion between facing materials and gypsum core, forming a compact pore wall structure. By filling the gaps on the surface of pore walls, the strength and nail-holding properties of gypsum boards are improved. Glass fiber is commonly used as a reinforcing material, enhancing the strength, resistance to permanent deformation, and dimensional stability of gypsum board cores while improving internal adhesive properties. There is a variety of facing materials available, such as facing paper, plastic wallpaper, aluminum foil, and fiber mats.
By combining these materials, lightweight gypsum boards can meet customers' high demands and standards, offering broad prospects for various applications.
