Product Description
HMEJ(DC) series DC Self-braking motors are designed according to IEC standard, are totally enclosed fan cooled squirrel cage three phase asynchronous motors with additional electromagnetic brake disc in DC direct current. It has a lot of advantages, including beautiful outlook, compact structure, large starting torque, prompt braking, etc. Also, the brake has a manual release device, which allows the brake a function of both manual and electrical release and is convenient for rising. They are suitable for the machines that require prompt braking , correct positioning, repeat running, frequent starting and avoiding slipping, so they are widely used in elevating machinery, food machinery, packing machinery, transportation machinery, printing machinery , Textile machinery and Transmission parts etc .
The DC brake disc is assembled on the non-drive end shaft, when the power is supplied to the motor, the brake also begins to work the magnetic force absorbs the armature and presses the spring, so the disc is disconnected with armature and end shield, then the motor begins to run. When the power supply is stopped, it does not exert the magnetic force and the armature is pushed by the spring, compresses the brake disc, thereby creating a braking action.
