How does the SMART LED STREET LIGHTING WORK?


Power Line Communication (PLC) technology operates as follows:


The input side of lighting system shall be equipped with a PLC transmitter-controller, and its output side, i.e. the lamps themselves — shall be equipped with appropriate receivers. Normally, luminaires are equipped with traditional dimmable devices with a 1-10 V interface. PLC allows establishing communication between control element and dimmable lamp without installation of additional network for data exchange. Each luminaire has its own ID number. The system maintains its operability, while the operator can regulate lighting intensity of separate group of luminaires, as well as of one single lamp within certain interval ranges. For example, the system may increase lighting intensity during cultural events performed in a separate part of a city or town during nighttime. As an example, provide additional local lighting for cultural events in a separate part of a city or town in the evening.

Segment Level & Individual Lamp Level Controlling & Monitoring


Intelligent street lighting system controlled at segment-level comprises a cluster of up to 256 street lights that communicate to a power cabinet which allows automatic on/off/dimming control. The feeder pillar receives data from the street lamps, manages and transmits the relevant data to a cloud based server, which stores and displays them on your computer dashboard.


 


Individual lamp control is handled via single luminary controller which have lamp-level functionality and intelligence, and allow for remote on/off/dimming control,status monitoring or adaptive lighting. Luminary controllers can also provide electrical parameters feedback for every lamp, real time malfunction reporting and optional sensors to measure light, temperature, humidity, noise, pollution,etc. In addition, lamp-level controller keeps the lighting grid powered-up during the day, which allows the installation of other smart city applications: EV-Charging, Weather/Ambient Sensors, Advertising Screen,Manhole Cover Management, Fire Alarm, Motion Sensors, CCTV Video Surveillance Camera, and Traffic Flow Detect Cameras.

Intelligent Cabinet(Feeder Pillar) for Street Light Control System
