Paenibacillus polymyxa Paenibacillus polymyxa is a type of bacteria that can produce spores. It is a Gram-positive bacterium belonging to the Bacillus velezensis group. It is a highly potential biocontrol agent that is non-pathogenic to plants, but can prevent plant diseases and promote crop growth. It is also non-pathogenic to humans and animals, and is a non-toxic, non-polluting, and residue-free microbial bactericide. It has been classified as a Class I microorganism that is exempt from safety assessment by the Ministry of Agriculture. The disease control mechanism of Paenibacillus polymyxa is "microbial control". Paenibacillus polymyxa has a strong ability to colonize various parts of crops, such as roots, stems, and leaves, and can rapidly multiply around the roots of crops after application. It can prevent other pathogens from approaching and infecting the plant roots through site competition and continuously secrete broad-spectrum antibacterial substances to inhibit and kill pathogens. In addition, Paenibacillus polymyxa can induce plants to produce disease resistance, thus achieving the goal of completely preventing various soil-borne diseases. | ||||||||
Application
Main characteristics:
(1) Broad spectrum of bactericidal activity: Paenibacillus polymyxa can control a variety of fungal and bacterial diseases, such as wilt, blight, yellow wilt, root rot, and soft rot, especially for tomato, pepper, eggplant, watermelon wilt and blight.
(2) Non-toxic, pollution-free, and residue-free: Paenibacillus polymyxa is a biocontrol bacterium, mainly produced through the fermentation process of highly active and excellent strains. It has no toxic side effects on the environment, soil, crops, humans, animals, or plants, and only has a killing effect on pathogenic bacteria.
(3) Fast reproduction rate: Paenibacillus polymyxa has a very fast reproduction rate in the root system of crops under suitable temperature and humidity conditions, which is dozens of times faster than other pathogenic bacteria, and can quickly form dominant strains around the root system of crops.
(4) Safe and non-toxic: Paenibacillus polymyxa is a microbial species. Regardless of the concentration used, it is absolutely safe for crops and will not produce any pesticide harm.
