Introduction of large fuel oil storage tank:
Large fuel oil storage tank, with capacity of more than 100 cubic meters, is a large container for storing crude oil or other petroleum products.

Large fuel oil storage tank consists of tank wall, tank top, tank bottom and tank accessories. It has the characteristics of long service life, corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance, high pressure resistance and scale prevention. It is the main equipment of oil depot. Large fuel oil storage tank is mainly used in refineries, oilfields, oil depots and other industries.

The oil storage tanks mainly adopt A537CL1, Q345R, 16MnDR, Q370R, S30408, SU30408, A516 grade 70, A516 grade 60 etc. steel grades. Large fuel oil storage tanks are divided into fixed-roof tanks, floating-roof tanks and spherical tanks according to structure.

1.Detail of Storage Tank

API 650 Tanks Construction Standard:
API 650, API STD 650 Welded Tanks for Oil Storage, is the most widely used standard for global tank construction and procurement. API 650 tank is commonly used for oil, gasoline, diesel, chemical and production water storage. API 650 tanks are located in refineries, docks, pipelines and production facilities throughout the United States. API 650 specifies the design, processing, welding, inspection and installation procedures for storage tanks. 

 2. Process of the oil tank :

a. Oil Tank Bottom

I. Steel Plate Thickness:
Since base plate outer surface contact with foundation, inner surface contact oil corrosion, there should have sufficient corrosion allowance. Volume 5000m³, thickness is 8mm.
II. The Structure of oil tank bottom plate:

b. Oil Tank Wall Plate

I. Wall plate: Oil tank volume determines the thickness of the wall plate. We are strictly enforce national standards to choose the appropriate steel plate.
II. Vertical steel plates connecting with girth weld the docking method. Especially for>1000ton oil tank,usually designed as floating roof tank, to ensure the same seal clearance when floating roof movement.

 C. Oil Tank Roof

Tank roof combined with roof center plate, sector roof plate, reinforcement ring (including edge Angle). 

d. Additional Oil Tank Foundation

e.  Oil Heating Equipment
