High filled materials compounding and granulating system
The CF-LXS series compact processor is a high productive compounder designed specifically for top-quality dispersion of highly filled,highly pigmented materials.The CF-LXS offers a complete one stop solution for all your processing needs.It is an integrated continuous mixer and extruder system mounted on a unitized frame.
The CF-LXS is capable of accepting feed from a wide range of raw material. It is designed to accept blended materials in the form of pellets,powder,flakes and liquids.
Working Principle
Compounding System
Materials entering the mixing chamber are conveyed by the screw where they are softened and subsequently melted. The two-lobe counter-rotating non-inter meshing rotors with forward and reverse pumping wings facilitate distributive mixing through longitudinal forward and backward flow patterns.The rotating lobes also push materials side to side between the rotors .Effective incorporation and dispersion of the pigments and fillers are achieved by the intensive shear imparted as the materials flow multiple times through the gap between the rotor tips and housing. The combined result is a compounder capable for producing a highly dispersed and homogeneous mixture.
Granulating System
With a residence time much shorter than any other type of processor.This keeps the overall material temperature and energy consumption low and produces compounds with low heat history and minimal material degradation.The residence time can be controlled by an adjustable orifice at the exit of the mixer.
The mixing chamber has provisions for heating and cooling to facilitate heat transfer in order to maintain the melt viscosity for effective mixing. Materials from the mixer is gravity-fed to the CF-LXS' hot feed extruder through an enclosed connecting chute. The extruder feed screw is specially designed for pumping only resulting in minimal temperature rise of the compounded material.
