White Peony, known locally as Pai Mu Tan, is a delicate white tea made from tender tea buds. The tea has a fleshy appearance, jointed buds and curly leaves. The gray leaves encircle the silver core, like a peony flower.

After brewing, buds and leaves slowly unfurl, giving out a sweet and fresh fragrance, and you will be attracted by a very mild floral aroma when drinking the tea. The soup is a very pale green or yellow color. The flavor is fruity, stronger than Silver Needle White Tea, yet not as strong as Shou Mei.
