2498D is a handheld, intelligent, multi-functional test instrument. It not only can test absolute and relative power, but also can test optical fiber, cable and passive devices. It is suitable for constructing/fixing optical fiber communication and cable television system.

Portable and Easy to use

Size is small and designed to be handheld, very suitable for constructing situation.

Two types of power source

Internal electrical source management circuit handles charging and quantity of electricity. Chargeable Lithium ion battery is inside and three AA type dry cells can be placed in the battery holder.

Data store and read out function

Save power value if necessary, also can read out and display stored data by PC software.

Auto zero

Zero key perform zero by one press, can guarantee measurement precision of week signals.

Typical Applications

At the maintenance construction of optical fiber communication system or cable television system, in order to prevent OTDR devices from being damaged by light in the line. We can use the power meter to ensure no light is in the line, then we can move on.
